About the project
Infoscan S.A. had a functioning platform integrated with a sleep analysis device. The system did not meet the scalability and flexibility requirements, limiting parallel tests and hampering marketing efforts to grow the business. ExploreIT stepped in to develop the new, fully scalable solution and integrate it with the existing device.
Approach
The main challenge was developing highly efficient algorithms for ten channels encompassing airflow (mouth and nose separately), blood oxygen saturation, chest and abdominal movements, pulse, sound, body position and even an EKG signal. The interface was packed with information, yet the doctors using it looked for something simple and easy to use, supporting fast detection of various types of apnea. Creating the high-fidelity prototypes of the system and conducting usability formative testing seemed to be the only solution
Solution
Designed with flexibility in mind, the platform supports all the medical and administrative processes and encompass the diverse needs of Infoscan clients. Since its introduction in April 2019, Osascan has been implemented in over 350 medical facilities in Poland, France, Spain and Bulgaria. The system is successfully supporting continuous operations, with hundreds of medical tests run every day. The company reported that the tangible effects of implementation can be summed up to 30% reduction of time needed to examine and interpret the medical tests.
