Mobile application - UX research app development SEM/SEO
About the project
ExploreIT has developed the Anthro web application - a specialised medical system used to assess the level of children’s development and diagnose diseases, commissioned by the Children’s Memorial Health Institute. The knowledge gained from the project was used to develop a mobile application for parents. The impetus for the project was the need for independent monitoring of fundamental child development indicators reported by parents of young CZD patients
Approach
Monitoring developmental data requires displaying it on percentile charts. For computers and larger monitors, this does not pose any problems, but the small screens of mobile phones present a challenge. To ensure readability, percentile grid charts have been implemented to allow the user to zoom and pan. Additionally, moving the chart could not affect the user’s ability to scroll the entire view. The percentile grid view has been implemented so that you can move the chart along the vertical axis with two fingers or along the horizontal axis. It is a non-standard but intuitive solution.
Solution
The first version of our application empowers parents to quickly enter data such as body weight and height, which the system then uses to calculate BMI and predict the child’s height. We adhere to the Polish Ola/Olaf standards developed by the Children’s Memorial Health Institute, the international WHO standards, and the Fenton standards for premature babies. The application is free and will continue to evolve, with plans to use it for monitoring CZD patients in a program to combat childhood obesity. It is available for both Android and iOS devices, promising a bright future of enhanced child development monitoring
